Saturday 17th Viking Loom – Jayne Delarre
Jayne is a Viking Re-enactor and a member of Cambridgeshire Guild WSD. She will be talking about life as a Viking and bringing her Viking Loom.

March
Tuesday 5th Own work
Saturday 16th Freestyle/Saori weaving - Julienne Hanson
Julienne will explain this style of weaving, with demonstration and examples, with an opportunity to try your hand.
Plus time and space for own work if you don't want to weave.
April
Tuesday 2nd Own work
Saturday 20th Spinning skills share – looking at yarn thickness, core spinning and fancy yarns. There will be a sign-up sheet at meetings - do share your own experience or ask questions and we'll pool our skills and resources to learn from one another.
May
Tuesday 7th Own work, plus steeking.
Kath and Linda will take a look at this rather scary technique and try to help de-mystify it for knitters in the group.
Saturday 18th A day to concentrate on our own work, including a chance to look at indirect warping for a table loom, while some of our members attend the Young Farmers Annual Country Show and Rally at Pertenhall.

14th-27th AGWSD National Exhibition "Battles, Borders, Books" at Hay Castle, Hay on Wye
Final date for entries 23rd July 2024. You can enter in two categories: 1) selected items made using spinning, weaving or dyeing OR 2) non-selected items-a removable cover for an A5 or A6 notebook inspired by the theme.

Saturday 19th Stash buster challenge
We have quite a collection of yarn and fibre in our Guild stash so this is an opportunity to raid the stash and create something with the theme "Seasons". Time to rummage through what's there and share ideas - items created can form the basis of our display at next year's Summer Wool Festival.
